Story:
,,...How the blazes are you going to be keeping that suit white? You do realize that the conformation class takes place in the forest, right?" Annie remarked as she fastened Sagadir's neck collar. The stallion seemed less interested in Andrzej's finery, judged by how his muzzle immediately started to scan the ground for edible items as Annie released her grip. Andrzej remained entirely unmoved by Annie's remark.
,,First of all, it's 'cream', not 'white'. Second -- " and he dug out the class information brochure and scanned the text. ,,The rules specifically state that handlers are encouraged to dress either a) summerly, or b) 'more formal'. A crisp summer suit is the ultimate middle-ground in this situation, no?" 
Annie shook her head gently and smiled. After 9 years Andrzej still had that amazing ability to make her laugh at just about anything.
,,Alright, alright. Just don't forget that they'll be judging Sagir, not you." she smirked. ,,And good luck trying to keep it wh-.. cream-coloured."
,,Worst case scenario," Andrzej mused as he approached Sagadir to take the lead rope. ,,Is some mudstains. Not too bad, when you think about it. We'll both be dapple-grey, then --"
Sagadir was still preoccupied with searching for food, when the command to walk was suddenly given. In an instant his head was up and his ears fixed forward with anticipation. It had been 9 months since his last show, and while his coat had grown significantly lighter since then he still had the attitude of a large child. Snorting he lept forward as he spotted the other contestants in the distance, but he was calmly held back. 
What's taking you so long, let's goooo! the stallion seemed to think as he turned his head to look at Andrzej; notrils flaring. Andrzej was not in a hurry, however, but calmly led the stallion into the forest where the contest would take place. The dappled Zlesdin soon realized his rush was in vain, so instead of pulling he settled into a slow pace next to his human companion - albeit 'calm' still wasn't the right term. The energy he would have used to power forward was redirected downwards, and he swaggered forth in a passage-like movement, all the while trying his hardest to look fierce and fiery, but in reality just showing off.
Annie held the pace on his other side.
,,I see Connor has been teaching him some new moves," she remarked at the stallion's efforts. ,,Is that passage, or do my eyes betray me?"
,,It might be," Andrzej agreed. ,,Soon he'll be able to show it under saddle as well. For now I'd prefer him to just.. walk, though."
And eventually Sagadir did. By the time they were called forth by the judges, Sagadir was mostly calm - except, of course, for some initial stomping and lunging. Would the judges find his looks and moves as impressive as the stallion himself seemed to do...?

Ahh, it's been so long since Sagadir was out showing! To make up for it, have a totally overdone image, haha :'D 
I've tried to seriously up my dapple game this time; to many frustrations of mine! In the meantime I forgot how to anatomy, but ehm.. yes. Let's just pretend nobody saw that, haha.
