Story:
,,How is he today?" asked Andrzej as Connor pulled up next to the fence. The stallion was chewing calmly on the bit and regarded his surroundings with his usual curiosity... but without the hot-headedness he sometimes displayed whenever he had to perform.
,,Surprisingly chill, I think," Connor reflected as he stroked the Zlesdin's dappled neck. ,,Quite supple. But of course, nothing is ever certain. You never know what happens next."
,,Good, good," Andrzej nodded slowly. ,,And indeed not, but it looks.. promising, so far. Just make sure he doesn't get too excited at the walk. It's really his weakest point, still. Nice work on the canter, though. He's improved immensely since last time."
,,Well, I've been dedicated in my training. He's really a rather fast learner.. when he concentrates, mind you."
,,Oh, I know I know." Andrzej grinned. ,,Still, good work so far. And, aaahh, don't look behind you right now."
,,What? Why not?" Connor asked, immediately looking over his shoulder. WS Armand came into view, dancing proudly forward in a half-pass. The bay stallion carried himself with a poise and grace only rarely seen.
,,I'll be competing against Armand?" Connor asked. ,,I'm not even sure whether to be honoured or terrified right now!"
,,Try both, maybe. Or even better, try not to think about the other competitors... too much. No pressure, I mean. You'll only get fired if you lose!"
Connor made a sound half-snort, half-laugh at Andrzej's wit.
,,Gee thanks. That really helped my nerves!"
Andrzej's smile was apologetic and he shrugged lightly.
,,Just do your best. ..And ahh, one more thing before you leave for the ring - show off some extended trot, will ya? Let's scare the other competitors a bit, too ~ "

Nnnnot really loving how this turned out, eeeeehh. This was one of those drawings that fought me tooth and nail throughout the process, and it kinda shows :L   Sagadir's anatomy is all kinds of funky, haha. Everything is.. kinda funky, really.
Still, it's good to be done with with. I really can't wait to be done with all my show entries, seriously. I'm so busy it hurts and I desperately want to draw something other than horses by now x'D
